Mandatory Digital Monitoring

1 - Electronic Fishing Logbook

Mandatory for skippers, with electronic transmission of data on transshipments and landings.

02 - Full Vessel Tracking

All fishing vessels must be trackable, including those under 12 metres in length.

03 - REM System for High-Risk Vessels

Remote Electronic Monitoring with CCTV cameras for vessels ≥18 metres identified as at risk of non-compliance.

04 - Unique Haul Identifier

Digital traceability from catch to retail across the entire supply chain.

Point System and Serious Infringements

Identified Infringements

Document falsification, engine tampering, obstructing officials, use of prohibited gear, forced labour.

Points Accumulation

Points system applied to licence holders and skippers when serious infringements are confirmed.

Critical Threshold

Identifies and blocks the import of products from illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.
Minimum administrative fines established for serious infringements that resulted in the obtaining of fisheries or aquaculture products.
