OSC – Orange Social Change Project (2025–2027) – Côte d’Ivoire

Part of the Mattei Plan, the project aims to integrate sustainable cocoa supply chain development, child protection, and public health in the Comoé region.

  • Goals: Build a transparent, inclusive cocoa supply chain fully compliant with Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 (EUDR).
  • Trusty: Strategic technology partner, digitizing agricultural practices of over 200 farmers through its blockchain platform and mobile app.
  • Partners: Centro Agrimagni, Cooperativa Communauté Abel, Comoé Équitable, Domori.
  • Results: “EUDR-compliant – 100% Comoé” traceability, access to international markets, and social inclusion of children in rural communities.

Green Horizons (2025–2027) – Côte d’Ivoire

Three-year program promoted by the Italian Ministry of the Interior and Associazione Centro ELIS to strengthen the resilience of the cocoa supply chain.

  • Goals: Traceability, socio-economic inclusion of women and youth, and training on sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Trusty: Technology partner implementing the blockchain platform for EUDR-compliant traceability.
  • Partners: Italian Ministry of the Interior, Associazione Centro ELIS.
  • Results: Engagement of 1,000 farmers and training of 320 young people in sustainable agriculture and the green economy.

Friendship Italy–Kenya (2025–2026)

Project promoting international mobility and training for young professionals between Italy and Kenya.

  • Goals: Develop skills in agritech, engineering, computer science, and sustainability.
  • Trusty: Host company providing training on supply chain digitalization and compliance with the EUDR Regulation.
  • Partners: Aprinternational, Confprofessioni, Ministry of Labour of Kenya.
  • Results: Specialized training of young Kenyan professionals within Italian companies.

TRACE-IT (2024–2025) – Africa

Selected under the second Open Call of the European FOODITY program, the project focuses on developing a digital platform for cocoa and coffee traceability.

  • Goals: Create verifiable, shareable data to ensure full compliance with the EUDR.
  • Trusty: Technology lead, responsible for designing the system architecture and managing data collection, validation, and blockchain publication.
  • Partners: University of Bari Aldo Moro – DiSSPA, African agricultural cooperatives.
  • Results: Involvement of 500 producers and development of a platform to manage geographical, quality, and certification data.

Fair & Trusty Trade (2021–2023) – Côte d’Ivoire

A project funded by Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) to make the cocoa supply chain more ethical and transparent.

  • Goals: Strengthen digital traceability and enhance local production.
  • Trusty: Technology provider, offering a blockchain platform to certify every stage of production.
  • Partners: Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), Apio, Agrimagni, Yosran, Comoé Équitable, Domori, Cocoasource, Chocofair, Gruppo Abele.
  • Results: Traced cocoa sold at a premium price, creation of the CHOCO+ lab, and the first blockchain-traced ice cream.

KAOKA (2023) – São Tomé and Príncipe

Collaboration with Kaoka, a historic French company specializing in the production of organic and Fair Trade certified cocoa, to ensure full traceability of its supply chain.

  • Goals: Guarantee transparency and verifiable communication on ethical and sustainable practices.
  • Trusty: Technology provider, offering a blockchain platform with informative QR codes.
  • Partners: Kaoka and 40 local producer associations.
  • Results: Involvement of 2,800 farmers and traceable, certified cocoa for the European market.

DIGILOGIC (2022) – Kenya

Promotes financial inclusion in rural areas through the digitalization of Warehouse Receipts.

  • Goals: Improve access to credit for smallholder farmers.
  • Trusty: Technology partner, providing a blockchain platform for traceable digital receipts.
  • Partners: Radava Mercantile, agricultural cooperatives, rural credit institutions.
  • Results: Creation of a digital system that enables transparent transactions, secure collateral management, and better financing opportunities for farmers.

Slow Food Coffee Coalition & Trusty Project (2022) – Honduras, Peru, and India

A global initiative by Slow Food to build a transparent and participatory coffee supply chain.

  • Goals: Ensure traceability, fairness for producers, and sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Trusty: Technology partner, providing the blockchain platform and PGS systems with QR codes for data access.
  • Partners: Slow Food Coffee Coalition, producers and roasters in Honduras, Peru, and India, with RINA.
  • Results: Active traceability across three countries, with over 50,000 farmers mapped and 100,000 tons of coffee traced.

COOPEN (2021–2022) – Ethiopia

An Innovation for Development program aimed at strengthening food security through digital solutions and collaboration between local and international stakeholders.

  • Goals: Introduce digital tools for traceability and georeferenced labeling.
  • Trusty: Developed the platform and trained local operators in the use of traceability systems.
  • Partners: LVIA, Apio, GrowthAfrica, and Ethiopian cooperatives.
  • Results: Involvement of 9 cooperatives and 90 producers, improving transparency and competitiveness across agricultural supply chains.
