Trusty and AzzeroCO2 announce a new partnership for sustainability and traceability in agricultural and agri-food supply chains

The partnership aims to support companies in their complex sustainability journeys, providing practical tools to monitor and manage environmental impact across the entire value chain.

Trusty, an Italian Benefit Corporation using blockchain technology to ensure traceability in agri-food and industrial supply chains, and AzzeroCO2, a sustainability and energy consulting company founded by Legambiente and Kyoto Club, are joining forces to offer companies sourcing from agricultural supply chains innovative and integrated solutions for environmental sustainability and production transparency.

The partnership seeks to enhance production chains through a combined approach that integrates Trusty’s digital traceability platform—already used by more than 200 clients in Italy and abroad to ensure transparency and regulatory compliance, particularly with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)—with AzzeroCO2’s expertise in decarbonization strategies. Together, they will support agricultural, agri-food, and industrial companies operating in sectors such as cocoa, coffee, palm oil, beef, soy, timber/paper, and rubber, helping them navigate the path toward sustainability with tools that measure and manage environmental impact throughout the value chain.

“In a world where sustainability is no longer an option but a priority, this collaboration marks a concrete step toward putting technology at the service of more responsible and transparent supply chains,” said Alessandro Chelli, CEO of Trusty. “Our blockchain platform ensures the authenticity and security of data, and now, thanks to our synergy with AzzeroCO2, we can also support companies throughout their sustainability journey.”
Today, companies must not only be sustainable, but also prove it in an undeniable way, especially in the face of complex regulations such as the EUDR. It is precisely to help them overcome this challenge that we are pleased to collaborate with Trusty, a partner who shares our goal of accelerating the transition toward more transparent and traceable supply chains. The synergy between Trusty’s blockchain technology and our technical-scientific expertise is designed to provide companies with practical tools to successfully address both climate and regulatory challenges,” said Alessandro Martella, General Director of AzzeroCO2.
