Trusty's platform for EUDR is now validated by RINA

Trusty's platform has been validated by RINA as a support tool for companies seeking compliance with EU Regulation 2023/1115 on deforestation.

Trusty is now among the first EUDR solutions to be verified by a third party.

Trusty, Benefit Corporation and innovative company using blockchain technology to ensure regulatory compliance and traceability in agri-food supply chains, including cocoa and coffee, has had its platform validated by RINA, a multinational certification group active in over 70 countries, as a support tool for companies that need to comply with EU Regulation 2023/1115 on deforestation, ensuring that raw materials and products such as cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soy, wood, and its derivatives placed on or exported from the EU market are deforestation-free, legally produced, and subject to a Due Diligence statement.

To verify the platform's compliance with the principles outlined in the EUDR, the validation followed several steps: a document review of Trusty’s Technical Manual, interviews with the founder, IT platform managers, and EUDR project leads, verification of issue resolution, and the subsequent drafting of the Validation Report and issuance of a Validation Opinion.

The validation by RINA is a significant milestone for Trusty, confirming the reliability of our platform in helping companies comply with EU Regulation 2023/1115. This achievement is the result of a collaborative effort that combines expertise, field experience, and strategic partnerships, with the goal of offering advanced technological solutions for traceability and regulatory compliance in agri-food supply chains. For businesses, it means having a secure and effective tool to manage their supply chains responsibly, simplifying the process of adapting to the EUDR. For us, it represents another step in transforming the sector towards a more sustainable and transparent agri-food system.
Alessandro Chelli, CEO of Trusty

RINA’s validation of Trusty’s platform confirms its effectiveness in ensuring compliance with EU Regulation 2023/1115 on deforestation. Our rigorous evaluation process—including document review, interviews, and testing—has shown that the platform enables companies to trace raw materials and verify their legality, contributing to more sustainable and responsible supply chain management.
Dario Bagarella, Head of Food Product Management, RINA.
